North Cotes Butts, situated on an disused WWII / Cold War Airfield in North Lincolnshire England.

Run by the Appleton family and a dedicated following of willing helpers, who do everything they can to make your visit as positive and enjoyable as possible.

North Cotes is truly the friendliest most welcoming shooting club in the UK, this is probably why the count their membership in thousands.

Back in 1991 The site was sold off by the Ministry Of Defense.

The founding members recognised that the old Butts, (shooting backstop) could be developed into a civilian shooting range and aquired the land

  • Back in 1912, it started as a base for the Royal Flying Corp which later became the Royal Air Force.

    Our site was renowned for Bristol Beau Fighters during the World War II. Later it became a Bloodhound missile base for surface to air missiles until it closed in 1990 approx.

  • We currently have a 25 metre range, 50 metre range and 100 metre tube range (the Tunnel). 7 shotgun bays for Practical shotgun now also have a western range for our resident British Western Shooting Society (BWSS) Cowboy Action Shooting club, and over 15 clay stands

  • Free Parking onsite, ranges are directly next to the main club house, therefore minimal walking.

    There is a club house with toilet facilities for both sexes, onsite catering is burgers, bacon sandwiches, hot and cold drinks

  • Suitable clothes for wet weather.

    Suitable footwear, as the ground can sometimes be uneven and muddy.
